Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

Meet new people, develop leadership skills, participate in state-wide competitive events, and run for office.  FCCLA members meet weekly to plan activities that improve individuals, families, schools, and communities. Sign up with Mrs. Kallal, family and consumer sciences instructor.

Cooking Club

Enhance cooking skills, try new foods, and work together with a team to prepare sweet and savory recipes.  Cooking club is a workshop style club for grades 6-8.  It is offered for 5-6 consecutive weeks three times per year.  Sign up with Mrs. Kallal, family and consumer sciences instructor.

Sewing Club

Take sewing skills to the next level.  Sewing club is a workshop style club for grades 6-8.  It is offered twice per year for 5-6 consecutive weeks.  No sewing experience necessary.  Sign up with Mrs. Kallal, family and consumer sciences instructor.

Journalism and Yearbook Club –

Within our club, the students run the school website newspaper, to keep news on what is going on around the school and community. This year we have combined journalism with the school yearbook; by the end of the school year we will have yearbooks for sale.

Jay’s Jr. Hobbyists-

We do everything “geek” from reading comic books, watching science fiction movies, playing RC cars, and playing board games and card games.
